We are giving this eBook away free because it encapsulates all the basic knowledge we have attempted to convey to our students on a daily basis for several decades. Our hope is that it will bring more clarity to the teaching of what sometimes appears to be an obscure discipline and will therefore help to raise the standard of the art as well as enriching the learning experience of Tai Chi students everywhere.
The above guide covers the basic principles and structure of the art and, while it applies in many ways to all styles, it is written mainly from the perspective of a Yang Style teacher and is designed to provide a solid foundation for beginner to intermediate students. It does not go into any detail on the advanced aspects of the art such as fa jing or martial applications.
However, since setting up this website, we have written and published three advanced guides to Tai Chi Chuan, covering the development of internal power, how to use Tai Chi for self-protection and how to teach Tai Chi.
These are full-length books and are available on Amazon.
